Build a backup plan you can actually restore
Turn a folder of copies into a recovery plan: define your risks, choose independent destinations, and practice a small restore drill.
Read the 6-minute guideStart with a recovery plan.
Keep the information that matters in a form you know how to recover. Insta Backups brings practical planning together across devices, websites, cloud storage, and AI projects. Begin with one important item, identify the loss you are preparing for, and prove that a separate copy can bring it back.
Write down how much recent work you could lose and how long you could be without it. Match those targets to a capture method. Keep copies with different failure paths rather than counting every folder as independent. Record which components remain outside the plan.
Restore one recent item and one older version into a separate destination. Open both with their normal applications and record the results. Add a dependent item, such as a project with linked images, once the first small test succeeds.
Choose a rhythm from the work you can afford to reconstruct. A rapidly changing database and an occasional archive do not need identical schedules. Check completed runs and repeat restores after important changes.
