Wayback Machine archives are not full site backups
Separate public-page references from deployable website backups, inspect capture gaps, and test your own site away from its host.

Use a Wayback Machine capture as a reference you have checked, not simply a link you submitted. The Internet Archive describes Save Page Now as a way to save a page and receive an archive URL, with limits on what can be captured. Build your preservation checklist around those boundaries.
Select representative page types and write down what each should contain. Open each resulting archive URL and compare it with that checklist. Keep operational site backups separately, especially when the website relies on databases, account-only content, or external services.
Test readability and appearance separately from function. Follow a few links and inspect where they lead. When a critical component is absent, choose an authorized supplementary preservation method and explain what that extra file adds.
Not without verifying the rest of the required scope. List important URLs and downloads explicitly, inspect their captures, and keep original deployment files when your goal includes rebuilding a site.
